The LÄSSIG anti-UV wetsuit, made from recycled polyester, is THE essential piece for your next swimming trip. With a UV protection factor of 60 and a suitable sun protection cream, little ones will be well protected from the sun when playing, swimming or exploring.

The anti-UV suit is breathable, elastic, and dries quickly. It allows total freedom of movement to fully enjoy the pleasures of swimming. The flat seams and protection at the chin do not irritate the very sensitive skin of little ones. Thanks to the large zipper, it is easy to put on and take off.

The strong fibers of the suit's fabric provide good resistance to chlorine and UV rays. Back home, the suit can be washed at 30°C (delicates program).

Each LÄSSIG UV protection suit is made from recycled plastic processed into yarn. 12 PET bottles are needed to obtain one meter of finished fabric. By using recycled materials and innovative processes, and by removing components of animal origin, LÄSSIG contributes to the circular economy and to preserving our earth's resources.

The LÄSSIG UV protection suit with protection index UPF 60 has been tested according to UV protection standard STANDARD 801 (Hohenstein Institute).


Indications for proper use

In case of prolonged exposure, UV rays can cause burns and skin lesions. This garment only protects the covered part; other parts of the body exposed to natural UV radiation should be protected by another means, for example by applying sunscreen or wearing other anti-UV clothing. The effective duration of protection of anti-UV clothing depends on the texture of the child's skin and the intensity of solar radiation. The UV protection shown may be reduced due to normal wear and tear and seams. Check the condition of the garment regularly and change it if it is worn or damaged. Any repair must be carried out professionally. The lifespan of anti-UV clothing is 6 years from the date of manufacture, even if there are no visible defects. The label sewn onto the garment details the composition, care instructions, size, date of manufacture and UV protection index. Please store the item in a dry place away from light. Wash after each contact with salt and/or chlorinated water. This is anti-UV clothing (PPE category I) corresponding to the basic health protection and safety requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425, Annex II. The protective clothing meets the requirements of EN ISO 13688:2013, Protective clothing - General requirements. The product has been certified according to UV 801 (based on AS/NZS 4399:2017).
