The LÄSSIG UV-protective wetsuit, made of recycled polyester, is THE must-have piece for the next swimming trip. With a UV protection factor of 60 and a suitable sunscreen, little ones will be well protected from the sun when playing, swimming or exploring.

The anti-UV suit is breathable , elastic , and dries quickly .

It allows total freedom of movement to fully enjoy the pleasures of swimming. The flat seams and the protection at the chin do not irritate the very sensitive skin of little ones. Thanks to the large zip fastening, it is easy to put on and take off.

The strong fibres of the suit fabric provide good resistance to chlorine and UV rays. Back home, the suit can be washed at 30°C (delicate wash cycle).

Each LÄSSIG UV suit is made from recycled plastic that is processed into yarn. It takes 12 PET bottles to make one meter of finished fabric. By using recycled materials and innovative processes, and by removing animal-based components, LÄSSIG contributes to the circular economy and to preserving our earth's resources.

The LÄSSIG UV protection suit with a protection factor of UPF 60 has been tested according to the UV protection standard STANDARD 801 (Hohenstein Institute).


Indications for proper use

In case of prolonged exposure, UV rays can cause burns and skin damage. This garment only protects the covered part; other parts of the body exposed to natural UV radiation must be protected by other means, for example by applying sunscreen or wearing other UV-protective clothing. The effective protection time of the UV-protective clothing depends on the texture of the child's skin and the intensity of the solar radiation. The displayed UV protection may be reduced due to normal wear and tear, as well as at the seams. Check the condition of the garment regularly and change it if it is worn or damaged. Any repairs must be carried out according to the rules of the art. The lifespan of the UV-protective clothing is 6 years from the date of manufacture, even if there are no visible defects. The label sewn onto the garment details the composition, care instructions, size, date of manufacture and UV protection index. Please keep the item dry and protected from light. Wash after contact with salt and/or chlorinated water. This is a UV protective garment (Category I PPE) that meets the basic health and safety requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425, Annex II. The protective clothing meets the requirements of EN ISO 13688:2013, Protective clothing - General requirements. The product has been certified according to UV standard 801 (based on AS/NZS 4399:2017).
